Says he wishes to play at number four
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan said on Monday he was not happy with the fifth spot on the batting list but it was not necessary that he got he had wished for.
Addressing a press conference ahead of the Pak-NZ third ODI, he said he wished he could play on number four adding that captain and coach had different thought processes. “There cannot be 11 Fakhar Zamans in the team,” he added.
“It is difficult to move the batting order,” he added.
He went on to say that he praised critics as their criticism would uplift Pakistan cricket. "The world cup was not only a test of 20 players but we all were responsible for it, and we needed to move forward by forgetting the past,” he added.
Half of the country’s population comprised commentators, he mocked.
He continued by saying that critics thought for the country adding that the international cricket game was a pressure game. “Karachis’s pitches are different from that of Rawalpindi and different conditions produce different results,” he added.
